I cannot stress this enough, if you choose to do anything that is NOT a part of your daily agenda you risk being permanently removed from the computer and possible issuance of a Failure grade along with unsatisfactory in work habits and cooperation!!!!!!! In many cases this involves a violation of the school district acceptable use policy along with the class appropriate use policy. See me for more information if you are confused or do not understand.

Here is an example of the storyboard I built using Inspiration. Feel free to refer to this as your guide in doing your storyboards

Period
Agenda Deadline For Assignments To Be Completed
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7
Nov. 2- Continue work on your Halloween Pumpkin project with Photoshop. If you finish today I will give you the points for the project. If you do not you will have an opportunity to finish later after we have completed more Photoshop projects, but you will have to manage your time appropriately. You can still earn full credit, but only if the pumpkin project is fully completed. So you must use your class time wisely and effectively!! The tutorial is here. We will begin a few basic google sketchup assignments Wednesday.

Nov. 3- You need to complete and publish your microphone blog posting. Also you have a blog posting on the following What are your thoughts about school uniforms? Do you agree with having to wear them? Why? Why not? What would you change if anything?

You can title it School Uniforms.

The blog can be found here. Please add it to your favorites!!

Nov. 4- Today we are going to use typeracer. If you did not sign up for an account last week you are behind and may lose points for not following the directions on your agenda. I will set up two or three rooms in which we can compete against each other. We will begin basic lessons using google sketchup. For homework I want you to think about a chair design you will do using sketchup. Tomorrow I will show you some examples.

Reminder: If you have not uploaded and invited me to share your documents they are NOT considered turned in. You will receive no credit unless you do this. Be sure to invite reedtechteacher@gmail.com

Nov. 5- Continue work on google sketchup. We will cover the arc, move, paint bucket, and offset tools today. You will also practice by building a dog house.

Nov. 6- Today is the first day to begin your chair project using google sketchup. I am looking for simple, clean, well designed chairs. Your assignment page can be found here. See me if you have any questions regarding this project. You should finish it no later than the end of the period Tuesday Nov. 10.

KarlaWithaK PER 1-Students Who Have Pictures in Digital Storytelling Folder 0 Oct 16 2008, 2:47 PM EDT by KarlaWithaK
Thread started: Oct 16 2008, 2:47 PM EDT  Watch
After 3 days of instruction and time to do the work, students who have pictures in their folders (and no excuses) are: MARIELL LOPEZ , GRIFFIN LOWRY, JACKELINE GENOVEZ, AMY HERNANDEZ, NIKO WALSH, SAMUEL WATTLES, STAVR DASKALA and ALEXANDRA DIERKING. I may have missed one or two students who have pix in their folders, but the majority had not done much, if anything toward the completion of the project. On Thursday, 10/16/08, students were STILL asking me how many pix they needed and what size they needed to be, AFTER I've repeatedly told them to MINIMIZE THEIR ASSIGNMENT so it's ACCESSIBLE ON THEIR DESKTOP, SO THEY CAN REFER TO IT WHEN THEY FORGET THE INSTRUCTIONS. Some still had not created the "Digital Storytellng (FOOD)" folder AFTER we did it together as a class. Some kids are faking the funk and using ANY excuse to sidestep their responsibility of having the work done. Maybe they really don't understand, but some are just resistant to doing the work. Hopefully, they will have more done toward the assignment when you get back to class, Mr. Shelton. Many thanks to the kids who are on task! Ms. K. Edward, Substitute Teacher

What do you think of that? Is it something you would want me to teach you how to use so you can add it to your electronic portfolio when we build them?
